Corporate History
C.R. Whitney and Son, Incorporated was founded in 1963 by Charles
R. Whitney. Our firm specializes in residential and commercial remodeling. The Whitney family has a
long history in the building industry in California and Monterey County building numerous homes in Seaside,
Marina, Pebble Beach, and Carmel Valley. We have specialized in remodeling for over
27 years.
Chris Whitney assumed the title of President in 1997 and took over
daily operation of the business in 1999. A graduate of Pacific Grove High School and California State
University Chico, he has been involved in the construction trades all his life.
Susan Whitney is responsible for the office management of the
company. She is a graduate of Convent of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco and the University of San Diego.
